New novel in February!

”Kleo & The secrets of the Underworld” (LL) by Jesper Tillberg. The 2nd novel in the series about Kleo. This time Kleo and her nemesis at school travel to the ancient Egyptian Underworld to solve the biggest secret of all times: who killed Isis and thereby made her the Queen of the dead?
The 1st novel, “The mummy who wouldn’t sleep” (LL), was a big success. To quote a few of all raving reviews:
“The writer knows which buttons to push and colors the story with one thrilling plot after another. The story takes sudden turns and the humor is on top. // As a critic you should perhaps mention something negative as well. But how hard I even try, I can only praise this book. Even the dialogue is spot on, especially between the Mummy and Kleo. In their best moments the lines remind me of Robert Donat’s and Madelaine Carroll’s witty fighting in Hitchcock’s ‘The 39 steps’”
Kristoffer Oberg, Nerikes Allehanda

“The reader is served a lot of nice moments: thrilling struggles in a multi cultural melting pot with political vibes to out present time – the fight for power, the Palestine conflict and feminism. You get a lot of fun anachronisms and a hero as intelligent as brave. // … a fast told story, concentrated, a book with a lot of colors and fragrances – a perfect big movie adventure for all ages.”
Margareta Wiman, Corren

“Historical facts are intelligently part of the sub text and the book is entertainingly educational. There are a lot of beautiful pictures, masterly drawn to suit the story’s big drama.”
Frida Lax, Bibliotekstjänst

“Short-written sentences, fast paced. The prose is spot on and pulls the story forward. It’s not just a novel, an artistic experience, this book can also inspire for further reading about this ancient, thrilling times.”
Eva E:sson Fransson, BTJ

“The kids loved the novel. 4,5/5”

Adapted to a national radio drama series!

“The Mummy…” was adapted to a radio play in 15 episodes for National Swedish Radio with several well known actors such as award winners Gunnilla Nyroos, Simon Norrthon, Gerhard Hoberstorfer and Pontus Enhörning.
Scriptwriter and director: Jesper Tillberg
"Simon Norrthon plays the Mummy with a comic subtext in every line, a guy with love troubles that haven’t gotten any easier after 3000 years in a sarcophagus. The Mummy and Kleo meet a wide range of Egyptian characters, in a few lines reflect the ancient society. Most sparkling is Gerhard Hoberstorfer in his double role as the twins, a scientist and a high priest. He acts them as really well drawn animated characters with the mimics and facial expressions visualized even in the radio. Kleo, who happens to be an expert in ancient Egyptian history, leads the detective work. At time, it’s really exciting and thrilling.”
Lotta Olsson, Dagens Nyheter
